Just when many states are dropping mask mandates and opening up partially if not fully, Oregon’s Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHA) is thinking of making their mandates and social distancing open-ended.
In other words, the state would bypass its May 4 deadline for ending the requirements put in place at the start of the pandemic, and make the masks and social distance rules permanent with no end date.
The rule would apply to people entering businesses or housing facilities. In response, nearly 60,000 residents signed a petition against the proposal.
