Presales of Dr. Anthony’s Book, “Expect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward,” were abruptly ceased on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble after thousands of Fauci’s emails were released to the public June 2, 2021.
Not only that, references to the book were completely scrubbed, with Amazon displaying a message, “SORRY we couldn’t find that page” the next day, June 3. Barnes & Noble showed a similar message, “Sorry, we couldn’t find what you’re looking for.”
Only Booktopia, an Australia distributor, still listed it for sale as of June 3, but the title had been changed to “Expect the Unexpected: Anthony Fauci on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward,” dropping the “Ten Lessons” part.
The scrubbings occurred as news media posted the emails and reported Fauci’s behind-the-scenes duplicities in handling the pandemic, including apparently lying to the public as well as in Senate hearings.
A cached version of Amazon’s listing has a summary that says “In his own words … Fauci shares the lessons that have shaped his life philosophy, offering an intimate view of one of the world's greatest medical minds as well as universal advice to live by …
“The earnest reflections in these pages offer a universal message on how to lead in times of crisis and find resilience in the face of disappointments and obstacles. Sure to strike a chord with readers, the inspiring words of wisdom in this book are centered around life lessons compiled from hours of interviews, offering a concrete path to a bright and hopeful future.”
Fauci’s 80-page book had been scheduled to come out November 2, 2021.
