A woman who was paralyzed after receiving Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine about four weeks ago is finally starting to walk, even though at first her doctors weren’t sure she would ever be able to move her legs again.
For right now it’s just small, slow steps, but Brandy Parker-McFadden says it’s the answer to her prayers, and she intends to keep working at it as hard as she can.
Her health care workers, including her physical therapists, say her improvement is tantamount to a miracle. Parker-McFadden told NBC 4 News she just wants everyone to know that if you have a reaction to a vaccine, you need to report it to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).
Anyone can make a report to VAERS, even though health care professionals are required to report certain adverse events.
