New Mom Separated From Her Newborn Because of COVID Test

A California mother whose baby was born one week early was separated from the baby minutes after his birth because she tested positive on a COVID test. The hospital then sent the baby to a different hospital with a NICU. The mother was forced to stay at the birthing hospital and has not been allowed to see or hold the baby, which was born August 20, 2021.
