Why Is No One Talking About Sweden’s Ranking With COVID?

With the COVID-19 pandemic approaching nearly two years since it began, one country that’s slipped from the media spotlight is Sweden. But why is no one talking about Sweden these days — especially since early on the media were convinced Sweden’s “renegade” no-mask, no-shutdown policies were bound to be disastrous failures?

What’s happened is that instead of leading the world in deaths per capita, Sweden today ranks 40th, behind dozens of countries that instituted strict mask mandates and lockdowns. According to ZeroHedge, “As other countries saw their cumulative mortality rates skyrocket, Sweden dropped precipitously in the rankings due to their consistent, sustainable methods.”

Compare that to Los Angeles, which has had only 37 days where people were allowed to go maskless in the 530 days since the pandemic was declared. Their COVID death rates rank in the top 10 worldwide. Then compare fully-vaccinated Israel to Sweden: Sweden’s currently averaging about 90 cases per million. Israel’s averaging 1,218.

More specifically, the comparison is even more stark when you look at it this way, ZeroHedge points out: Between July 10 and September 7, Sweden reported 56 total deaths. Israel reported 56 just on September 8.

So why is no one talking about this? The bottom line, ZeroHedge says, is the media are performing as opinionated activists, not objective reporters of news. They are “thoroughly consumed by a desire to force others to conform to their opinions. They refuse to present information that counters the endless dictatorial mandates, instead promoting unquestioning compliance.”
