If the health minister of The Netherlands gets his way, citizens in his country will soon be getting three more COVID shots before they can say they’re “fully” vaccinated.
In a letter to The Netherlands parliament, Hugo de Jonge suggested two of the extra shots should be given in 2022 and a third in 2023. Currently 85.9 percent of the country’s population who are aged 18 and over are fully vaccinated.
Health officials said they had already purchased or agreed to purchase tens of millions of COVID shot doses, intentionally buying them in bulk to avoid shortages.
