US Pandemic Excess Death Toll Hits 1 Million; Biden Wants More Vacccine Money

The CDC has released pandemic mortality reports that show more than 1 million deaths during the pandemic’s two years. However, deaths from diseases other than COVID-19, such as heart disease, hypertension and dementia, also spiked.

“We’ve never seen anything like it,” the CDC’s head of mortality statistics, Robert Anderson, told The Washington Post.

Meanwhile, Market Watch says President Biden is seeking an additional $17.9 billion for vaccines and treatments, $4.9 billion for testing, $3 billion to cover coronavirus care for uninsured people, and $3.7 billion to prepare for future variants.
