As of June 23, 2022, the FDA has banned all of Juul’s vaping products, will become extinct almost immediately. The FDA has been reviewing tobacco products of all kinds and clamping down on flavored products, both in regular cigarettes and vape products.
Analysts say the ban will devastate Juul as a business. On the other hand, the FDA has expressed concerns before about Juul’s marketing tactics, which were deemed aimed at teens. “In its ruling, the agency said that Juul had provided insufficient and conflicting data about potentially harmful chemicals that could leach out of Juul’s proprietary e-liquid pods,” The New York Times reported,
The FDA is also considering banning nicotine from all cigarettes.
