Even as they race to create new versions of their COVID-19 vaccines, leaders in the shots’ creation are going head to head in a disagreement on patents for the shots’ technology.
Moderna is suing Pfizer and BioNTech for what they call is an infringement on their COVID-19 jab patent. In a statement, Moderna said its opposition had used the technology they patented in 2010 and 2016 — a vaccine system that Moderna claims would not be possible without their prior, patented research.
Saying they copied the research without permission, Moderna wants compensation for the alleged theft. Meanwhile, according to ZeroHedge, Moderna has an ongoing dispute with the National Institutes of Health, which wants its agency scientists to be listed as inventors of the jab.
