Dry Shampoos Recalled Due to Carcinogen Risk

Unilever has issued a voluntary recall of its dry shampoos found to contain dangerous levels of benzene, a known carcinogen. In all, 19 products are involved, including those with Dove, Nexxus, Suave, TIGI and TRESemme labels.

Unilever said it had already identified the source of the benzene, which is in the propellant. The company has also set up a webpage where consumers can get refunds for products they’ve already purchased.
