CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky has tested positive again for the COVID virus, in a rebound infection after being treated with Paxlovid. Walensky initially tested negative for the virus after she recovered; the rebound infection is one that’s been reported in other patients who have taken Paxlovid.
Before her initial infection, Walensky had been fully vaccinated, as per CDC guidelines.
