mRNA Gene Therapy Shots Now Headed for Cattle

In an effort to fast-track gene therapy shots for cattle diseases, Paul Toole, Australian deputy premier, and minister for Regional NSW, announced in September 2022 that he was asking vaccine manufacturers to fast-track their development. If manufacturers can get it done, the first mRNA shots for cattle would be for foot and mouth disease (FMD) and lumpy skin disease.
