With the pandemic over and no one interested in getting them anymore, millions of doses of Johnson & Johnson’s single dose COVID shots have ended up in the dumpster.
In total, even though at one point people were all but fighting to get a place in line for a jab or booster, nearly a third of the company’s available doses were left unused. Today, Johnson & Johnson’s shot is not available anywhere, just two years after it was approved.
According to CNN, 19 million doses out of 31.5 made available were used during those two years.
