In a deal with Mayo Clinic and other unnamed health care providers, Google will use AI technology to data mine patient and administrative records.
Calling it a “supercharged” version of Google, STAT said the goal is to improve patient care and research. “The tool effectively lets clients create their own chatbots using Google’s technology to scour mounds of disparate internal data,” CNBC reported.
It also will enable providers to gather aggregates of information for research related to patient care. As far as patient privacy goes, Google says the process is HIPAA-compliant.
