Pool Parasite Outbreak Sparks Health Concerns

An outbreak of cryptosporidiosis, a parasitic illness that causes diarrhea, is spreading in Northern Kentucky, with about a dozen confirmed cases. The parasite, Cryptosporidium hominins, is difficult to eliminate because it resists chlorine, making it hard to remove from swimming pools.
