After a two year long fight, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has succeeded in shutting down the business of Daniel Allgyer, an Amish farmer who was selling fresh raw milk from his Pennsylvania farm to Washington DC area customers.
The FDA began investigating Allgyer’s Rainbow Acres Farm in 2009, starting with a 5 AM surprise inspection and a straw-purchase sting operation.
Personal Liberty Digest reports:
“Allgyer’s customers are furious about [the] recent decision ... that said he could no longer sell his milk outside of Pennsylvania; doing so would subject him to hefty FDA fines. Allgyer has decided to shut down his farm altogether.”
