Uranium-238, the same molecule that is used inside nuclear weapons to initiate a runaway nuclear chain reaction was found in tobacco products and tobacco smoke, along with 92 other harmful chemicals, The Cancer Herald reported. Every cigarette tested contained different types of uranium, polonium and lead — all radioactive isotopes which can lead to deadly radiation in your lungs.
While it’s well-recognized that smoking cigarettes can cause lung cancer, it may come as a surprise to find out that the most likely culprit is not a chemical additive, but a radioactive element found in phosphate fertilizers used by tobacco farmers.
The radioactive isotopes found in cigarettes are due to tobacco farmers who use uranium-contaminated fertilizers. The uranium leaches in the soil and decays into radon gas, polonium and lead. All of those toxins are sucked up from the soil into the tobacco plants. The result is that a smoker who smokes 1 1/2 packs of cigarettes a day is receiving radiation equivalent to having 300 lung X-rays every year.
Fertilizers are not the only source of radioactive isotopes.
For decades, the common method of nuclear disposal was to dump plutonium-filled steel barrels into the ocean. Today, many if not most of these barrels have corroded and disintegrated, releasing radioactive material into the environment.
In 1993, nuclear waste dumping into the ocean was banned worldwide, yet the ocean remains a primary dumping ground for radioactive waste. Instead of ditching barrels overboard, the nuclear waste industry built pipes along the bottom of the sea, through which the radioactive material is discharged directly into the open sea.
Exposure to microwave radiation from baby monitors, cellphones, cordless phones, Wi-Fi routers, smart meters and other wireless devices can cause serious mitochondrial dysfunction due to free radical damage.
Excessive free radicals triggered by microwave exposure from wireless technologies have been linked to anxiety, Alzheimer’s disease, autism, cardiac arrhythmias, depression and infertility.
The negative effects of EMFs are particularly harmful to pregnant women, putting their child at risk for ADHD and autism, as well as behavioral, emotional and social issues
