New York Post columnist Miranda Devine is showing the fugitive Texas Democrats for the hypocrites that they are: They posed for photos maskless in a private jet on their flight to Washington and then one by one, ended up testing positive for COVID after they got there, a total of five as of July 19, 2021.
Ironically, CDC guidelines say everyone on all flights must wear a mask, but that doesn’t seem to apply to Democrats flying to Washington, Devine points out. “It’s always one rule for them and a different rule for the peasants,” Devine says.
“The stunt has been a mortifying self-own for Democrats, who have tut-tutted and scolded us like neurotic nancies all pandemic while privately doing as they please.”
To top it off, Vice President Kamala Harris, who staged a worldwide media photo op when she got her shots, quickly scooted off to a “routine” checkup at Walter Reed Hospital Sunday, July 18, 2021, after the Texas Dems started testing positive. Harris had met with them in her office when they arrived in Washington, staging photos showing everyone in the meeting was also maskless.
The duplicity is spinning out of control, Devine says, as the government’s Orwellian overreach was highlighted when White House press secretary Jen Psaki admitted that the administration is teaming up with social media, specifically Facebook, to target “misinformation” on the virus.
“If it’s something the Democratic Party doesn’t want said, it must be banned. It is dangerous ‘misinformation,’ as defined by the government,” Devine says. “And it can’t just be banned from one social-media platform. Big Tech must act in concert to crush misinformation super spreaders from every platform. For our own good.
“There is no clearer evidence that the tech monopolies are trampling on our constitutional rights on behalf of a government that is prohibited from doing so.”
